Advisory is built on people and perspective. Our team works alongside SME leaders and families, turning ambitions into solutions that endure.

NextUnion acts as a fiduciary advisor dedicated to providing fair and accessible financial advisory services to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and their owners. Our focus lies in Europe, with the heartbeat in Germany, where the middle class is collectively vital to the economy. Yet, within this segment, smaller enterprises are often left without the attention they deserve, despite their potential to grow into medium-sized businesses. NextUnion bridges this gap through a holistic advisory approach that integrates both corporate and private financial needs, fostering long-term partnerships built on trust and continuity. This strategy combines attractive pricing with synergies that provide clients with exclusive conditions, strong network benefits, efficient matchmaking, and customized support throughout all stages of the advisory relationship.

Meet the team = we believe

That good advisory work is driven by passion. True commitment means taking genuine interest in our clients’ journeys – finding joy in their progress and dedication in their challenges. We focus on mandates we can accompany over the long term, immersing ourselves in entrepreneurial visions and building a real understanding of unique needs. Where challenges exceed our scope or standards, we rely on trusted partners, ensuring that every mandate is handled with the quality it deserves. This spirit defines how we work, how we build lasting partnerships, and how we select our exclusive partners.

Innovative Solutions • Robust Structures • Reliability

Ferdinand Wiegelmann holds dual degrees in business administration (Dipl.-Kaufmann) and economics (Dipl.-Volkswirt) from the University of Hamburg. His career path began in a medium-sized company where he completed his professional training, providing him with a deep appreciation for SMEs as the “fast boats” of the economy – agile, decisive, and efficient, much like NextUnion itself.

He has since held senior roles in international project financing with DEG, corporate banking at BNP Paribas, M&A leadership at Deutsche Telekom AG, and as managing director of companies with up to 460 employees. This experience on both the corporate and financing sides enables him to understand the dynamics of transactions from multiple perspectives.

Alongside his professional expertise, Ferdinand has a strong passion for creativity and design – from art and architecture to building high-performance teams in business and sports. He has received recognition in both German and international tech competitions, including winning the prestigious Deep-Tech Award of SiBB in Berlin as well as prizes in Chinese technology and start-up contests.

Ferdinand’s guiding principle, shaped early in his career as a young CEO, is to “attempt the impossible in order to achieve the possible.” This conviction drives his commitment to SMEs, combining innovative and robust solutions with long-term reliability.
